Description

Zgugina, is located on the outskirts of the village of Gharb. Fields surround it and there are lovely walks all around. Gozo has beaches located all around the Island and these are all only a short distance away by car.
Large wooden gates lead from the street into the secluded, walled pool and garden areas with views out over the fields. On the ground floor, a large hallway leads into a part open plan kitchen, dining and living room. This is a very spacious area with a dining table that seats 12. On the ground floor there is also a double bedroom with a single chair bed and a shower room.
A stone staircase leads up to the first floor and two twin rooms and a double room, two bath/shower rooms. The double room has a lovely roomy terrace off it, with views out to sea. There is room for a foldaway bed and/or a cot, if required.
The house is located on the outskirts of the charming village of Ghasri, which has restaurants, shops, a pharmacy and the distinctive red domed church. A short distance away is the fabulous church of ta Pinu that, since the rumour started in 1883 of our Lady of Ta ‘Pinu talking to a local, has been a pilgrim destination for many. Visitors include St John Paul 11 and Pope Benedict XV1. The Inland sea and spectacular blue hole are a short drive from here as is the local craft village. The capital of Victoria is a ten minute drive away and a visit to the ramparts Citadel to see 360 views of the Island is a must.
The house has fans and air conditioning (in bedrooms), for both cold air and heat. The air conditioning units are operated using one and two euro coins.
